I bought my M2 about a year ago. Before today it had been 100% with everything from slugs, 00 buck down to the 100 round value packs at wally world. I have tried Winchester, Federal and Remington with perfect results.

Today I bought two Winchester 100 round value packs (I have used these before) and the M2 failed to eject six times. I then bought a different brand of shells that the range sold and it did the same thing two more times out of 25 shells. My M2 had been clean from the last time it was out. Does anyone know what to look for or what the problem might be?

You have lubed it correct? Do you have anything attached to the side? Like a sidesaddle or +2? I have had shells back out a little and interfere with the shells being ejected.
You said this was with the cheep value pack stuff? Are you holding the gun really hard to your shoulder? If you are, relax a little. The gun has to recoil a little to cycle. If you don't let the gun move, it wont cycle.

Yes, it was lubed. The only extra weight is the rail and Aimpoint T1 that I just put on the gun.
I try and always practice good form when shooting, but yesterday I had a very casual stance and I wonder if that was the problem?

Did you have the rail and Aimpoint on before it started having problems?
And again, how hard do you hold it?

No, it was the first time with the rail and Aimpoint. In the past I have always held the gun very tight and put all my weight into the gun to keep it from moving as little as possible. Yesterday I did not hold the gun tight into my sholder or put my weight into it.

Gotta wonder if it was the Aimpoint that is causing problems.  How was the rail mounted?  Did you drill and tap the top, is it a saddle mount.  If it is mounted on a rail through the receiver are the screws too long, and dragging on the bolt?  If it is a saddle mount are the screws tightened too much.

Something changed to start having FTE

You've changed 2 thing that could have an effect on the gun cycling. Go back to square one, change one at a time and you will find the source of the problem

The receiver came drilled and tapped with four holes from the factory. I have a Mesa rail and a LaRue mount for the Aimpoint T1 micro. I checked before and the screws are not too long. Other than that the gun is unchanged from the factory and my Mesa rail is NOT the kind that has a shell carrier.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said.  Take the Micro and rail off.  Using the same ammo and a good stance (although the M1S90s I've used with duty ammo seemed pretty tolerant of a bad stance), see if it cycles.  Add the rail. See if it cycles.  Add the Micro.  See if it cycles.  That said, it may be the ammo.  Bulk Winchester is known for being consistently inconsistent from lot to lot.
