I've got a question, and hoping someone here will have an answer.  I recently put together an SBR with a 10.5" barrel.  I am running a DY NM M16 BCG, Wolff XP spring and Spike's ST-T2 buffer.  The gun ran flawless with all the different ammo I ran through it i.e. Tap 55gr, 55 gr PMC Bronze, M855, XM193.

That is it ran until I installed a B.A.D. lever.  After installation, the gun would still cycle properly, but it would not lock open on an empty mag.  This happened with different ammo and mags including PMAGs and G.I. mags.  I uninstalled the lever, and the gun went back to locking open on empty mags.

Let me know if you have any idea on how to fix this problem.

seems like the extra weight/tension/inertia of the bad leaver is preventing the bolt catch from doing its job. I was actually think about this today odd enough, its a great little tool but seems not to like your rifle

Maybe a stronger spring for the bolt catch is needed?

I've thought about that.  Anybody know where to get an extra power spring for the bolt catch?

I have the same problem with the BAD. My gun won't lock back either when I use my supressor. Had to take it off.

My B.A.D. levers work flawlessly on all 3 of mine......including an 11.5" Sabre upper.  I absolutely love the B.A.D. lever.  It is one of the best add-on items I have put on my guns.

Cool.  Let us know if that helps.  I want to run the BAD, but if I can't make it run I'm just gonna throw it in the parts bin.

Wouldn't you need more power in the magazine spring, or less in the BHO?  The BHO spring acts against the direction you want the part to move, in order to hold the bolt.

The B.A.D. lever has been manufactured by a lot of other companys under a different name for at least a good 8 years before magpul. I tried it meny years ago and diden't like it. I wouldent use the thing myself.

Loose the extra power spring and get a standard spring with a heavier buffer (like a 9mm buffer).
