I filled out the (interstate movement form) back in Sept and sent the form in. About 2 weeks back it was rejected because I mixed SBR's and suppressors. So I re-did them on seperate forms and stuck it back in an envelope and mailed it back. About two weeks later and one of them was approved. The other was not in the envelope...I waited a few weeks thinking it was mailed seperately. Nearoly 2 months came and went...So I printed it again, signed it and mailed it back. Its been nearly 6 weeks from that date and STILL nothing.
I sent a form 1 correction in THREE times this time last year because they claimed to never get it the first two. It wasn't until I sent it registered mail that they agreed they received it. And not until they said they had not and I told them "well it was signed for by this person yesterday" and they found it the next morning. This is getting pretty ridiculous. Anyone else have the same experience? I guess the solution is to send everytthing registered mail. I just find that obnoxious because it costs way more then a stamp and it shouldn't be necessary. I suppose the time and energy of redoing forms, printing them, signing them, readdressing envelopes and all the stamps wasted it will pay for itself. I only have 6 NFA items so it does NOT occur very often. |

I was told by "my" approver (Lamberger) it was for any NFA items. He signed and returned the one for the suppressor's. It's the SBR's that's been ignored multiple times.
I'm trying to do the right thing by jumping through their hoops and they are making it extremely difficult. Quoted:
Which one was returned? A 5320 is not needed for suppressors. |

I was told on the phone today that even these forms are taking 60-90 days to return. Which is odd becuase like I said one of the forms that was approved came nearly two months ago and was in the same envelope.
Oh well. Quoted:

I mailed in a 5320.20 to report a perm change of address on 09/11/13 and it was approved on 09/19/13. (Suppressors only)
Course that was 4 months ago. I know people say it's not required and even on the 5320.20 it doesn't mention suppressors, but on F4's it says you shall notify the ATF in writing of perm change of address. I even read on here were a guy got a Error letter because they weren't notified of the perm. change of address. Just doing what I can to not give them a reason to kick a form back. |

I agree. Better to be safe then sorry. An error letter? Is that basically the letter saying you filled out the form incorrectly?
