I have always been a fan of the Encore for hunting, I figure it is the challenge of a single shot rifle along with the lower weight and shorter length for a specific length barrel. Seeing I had started my AR 300BLK build last spring and had opted to make my own brass and start reloading again, I knew I had to get a barrel for the Encore as well!
But seeing it is a single shot rifle, one acceptable to the sensitive sensibilities of slow Joe Biden, it needed some help to piss off a liberal to no end!!!!!
I started with the frame from my 209x50ML,

The barrel is a Bergera 16.5", 1:8 twist with threaded muzzle. I polished the chamber and installed a stronger locking lug spring. I then installed the barrel on the frame that I have duracoated in 2-tone FDE (I plan on Duracoating the barrel the same as the frame eventually). The short Bergera barrel does have a ever so slightly different profile than the longer length standard profile barrels from either TC or Bergera and a little sanding makes the fit far better on the forend where the barrels first taper begins.

The frame has been completely gone thru by me, a 44lb hammer spring, honed and polished disconnect/sear/hammer/trigger, 3lb trigger spring and 1xoversized hinge pin. Ultra smooth trigger takeup with a 3lb crisp as glass sear release.

The stock set is a Choate rifle butt stock and TC's standard rifle forend. The Choate buttstock has far better ergonomics than TC's standard or pro hunter stocks IMHO. I use a custom end cap on the grip, it helps alot when wearing thicker gloves when hunting, I do have a custom trigger guard being welded up to open up the diminutive trigger guard.

I canabilized the scope off of my 209x50 muzzleloader barrel for now, a 2x7x33 Nikon that has seen far better days! LOL not sure what optics to put on the barrel.

Getting there,,, added a cheek pad from a Choate ultimate varmint stock, mounted a Magpul MOE para-clip on the forend and a QD in the stock, then drilled and tapped the frame to mount a QD barrel for the Magpul MS3 sling. I also drilled and installed threaded inserts into the bottom of the forend to mount a Magpul MOE plastic rail.

Here she is with forgrip and MS3 sling with QD, added two brass threaded inserts to hold the MOE 11 slot rail on the bottom of the forend,

some color applied

Further progress, the muzzle blast is kinda intense, makes ya flinch, the muzzle is about the same distance from your face as a 10" barreled AR15 SBR. So I got a wild idea after looking at some SBR's and off the barrel went to ADCO the first of this week(and it is on its way back already) I am taking the rifle even further from social acceptance, and still stay NY and Fed legal, LOL, shortened to 13.5" and then a KX3 pinned on, the shoulder of the threads are right at the end of the forend. Gonna be a unique look for a deer rifle, LOL

Got her finished, I think I may need to spray some clear matt on the stock, it is a satin-ish finish now. Sshe surely looks anti-politicaly correct to me!

Cool! I like it.

thnx!

The KX3 really does eliminate the felt muzzle blast and noticeably reduce the sound for the shooter and those next to the shooter, while downrange it enhances the sound and blast, LOL

And it does live up to it's nickname as the flaming pig if you use the appropriate powder, LOL, I loaded a few flamers using A1680 pushing 110g Vmax's, Shooting after sunset is rather impressive, easily a 8' long, narrow tongue of flame shooting out of the front! Awesome!

You definitely win the award for Most Pointlessly Elaborate Single Shot of the Year!
Just fucking with you, but I really like that. I've always wanted to put together a T/C in .44 Mag and
work up sub-sonic loads that would run well through a good .45 suppressor. Then maybe SBR it,
and put a folding stock on it... Yeah, I'm guilty of the same bug, even if I can't actually participate.

Yes, interesting setup, but how can you possibly call a singe shot anti-politically correct??

By making it attack the visual sensabilities of liberal scumbag traitors, and it works like a charm!

LOL,,thnx,,,but it really doesnt have any pointlessly elaborate features other than maybe the forend grip, but that is part of the planned visuals to attack liberals sensabilities, LOL

Needs more folding stock.

I've been interested in doing something similar for a while, I just have find the right deal.

Well, I like the way you think.
Maybe I'll start on something like this for myself after I get a couple of other projects worked out.
That's a seriously bad-ass T/C! Thanks for sharing.

Why not really make it politically unacceptable and run it with a suppressor?

Like mine?

Needs more skulls/blood spatter though.

LOL,,,I would, but I am currently living behind enemy lines and the commie scum dont allow any supressors.

The KX3 is enough to really make the viens pop on the forheads of the State Stassi,  they think it has to be a suppressor, it is shaped like one........LOL

Yesterday, my cousin and I got a chance to check his new bone stock 300blk Encore against my KX3 equipped Encore. We used identicle handloads and the sound and concussion are significantly reduced for the shooter and bystanders. BUT that sound is amplified downrange just like when a person uses a megaphone to project their voice in one direction. Our local range is a old played out bluestone quarry and the mtn sides on both sides form a ampitheater that the range sits in, The ECHO was significantly loader with the KX3, it sounded like the shot originated from downrange!  Firing subs you hear a pop, a brief pause and then a twack followed immediately by a loud BANG!

I got a chance to try out the 125g SMK's thru my Encore, Not too shabby !!!!!

I knew I had pulled one low, and a little vertical stringing, I'll double check the headspace and adjust the shims. Not bad for a 13.5" barrel at 200 yards.

200yards, 17.2g H110, COL 2.300"

VERY impressive group! I like the rifle!

This is a target with two groups at 100 yards, Barnes 110g Tac-Tx, 20g H110, the only difference is the seating depth, the upper group was seated to published COL's and the bottom group was seated to a COL of 2.348", .050" off the lands.
The 300Blackout has a uber long freebore that is a holdover from the 300Whispers original design that was INTENDED for single shot breakopen TC Contenders and Encores where there is no magazine length or width restrictions. The long bodies of the heavy 200g bullets were intended to be loaded long out of the case.

Email pics of  that to Feinstein and she would add it to her ban list based on appearance alone.  I guarantee it.
