So last summer, I picked up a used HK Marked Benelli Montefeltro. It had an aftermarket 21" barrel, and it shot very well.

I wanted to upgrade it a little, and shorten it up a hair. I really like how compact shotguns feel, and I wanted to mod this one a little.

I sent off the barrel & stock to GunCat at Rose Action sports, and told him what I wanted. He took off 1/2" from the stock, and put a 1/2" recoil pad on, cutting the LOP from 14 1/4" to about 13 1/4". I am 5'7, and the shorter LOP feels so much better now. The barrel is cut back to about 18 1/2" now, and he installed a new fiber optic bead on the rib for me as well.

I must say, his work is top notch, and if I ever need anymore work done, he is getting the job.

Here is a before picture:

And a picture of the stock "paddle" style charging handle:

I also ordered one of Nordic's BFB knobs as well, as I wasn't too big a fan of the stock "paddle" style.

Here are a few pics of the finished shotgun. I am more then happy with how it turned out, and I am definitely keeping this as my primary shotgun for years to come.

GunCat's done some work for me, and I've been EXTREMELY happy with the results.  Glad to hear another great story

Wow! She's a beauty. How much longer is the new charging handle compared to the stock one?

About finger width.

The factory one was big enough for me to grab with my pointer only. With the new one, I can comfotably grab it with both my pointer & middle finger at the same time. It is very useful for when I want to switch from buck to a slug. rack it 2 times to clear the chamber & carier, then throw in a slug, close the bolt, and its ready to rock & roll.

Holy charging handle batman. J/K  You should be able to work that baby in a hurry.

All joking aside, that's a real nice autoloader. One I would be proud to own. Enjoy!   BD

Thank you Billy_Dee, and thank you raygixxer89 for your kind words.

I just figured it out. All in all, I spent about 700 bucks to get it the way it sits now, including the price of the gun! I am super happy how it turned out, and I cannot wait to get out and start shooting with it.

ETA: I forgot to mention too, I can ghost with this shotgun. I'm able to hold 5+1+1. Pretty nice in a shotgun that size and weight. I will try to weigh it over the weekend to see what it comes in at.
