Significant deforming like in your picture will cause problems at longer ranges, however I'd not expect you to see anything noticeable at 100 or maybe 150yds, 200 and above I'd bet your groups will start really opening up from what undamaged bullets produce. The only thing that has me concerned is the fast twist from the 300blk. |

Do you have a suppressor? I would run several of the worst rounds through with no can first. That's what I'm planning on doing if I ever get around to loading mine. BTW, what is your load? One these aren't mine, these are a buddies that he gave me to try. Two, they aren't going through my can until I see lots of perfectly round holes in paper. Three, my load is 14gr of Lil'Gun which is below published max. |

I had some .223 bullets (55 fmj and 62 fmj) that had some bullets in the box that looked like that.
I had to buy a bullet sizer to run them through. They would load into the case mouths, but make the case mouths out of round (like the bullets) and those would not chamber. After I ran them through sizer, they were okay. |

I have several K 175 Smk pulls. I run them through a .308 sizer and load them to about 2500fps in my .308 MWS and get about 1.25 moa consistently with my 762SD attached.
I'm more than likely going to load some for cheap plinkers in my 10.2 .300BLK once my stamp comes back. |

I got some 68gr canned heat. I didn't get accuracy I liked. So, I collet pulled them. I used a powder I liked better. My charges were very consistent. I tested out to 400 yards. The groups were fine all the way out to that distance meaning they would hold the black on an appropriately scaled high power target.
My pulled bullets looked much worse than the ones in the OP. |
