Been lurking here since coming from the suppressor thread with 4 cans in the last year or two...Want to get into the nv game and really need to know the way to start? Im thinking from reading previous debates that i need a bump helmet and a monocular. pvs 14 maybe even the gen2 + since I will be a somewhat of a budget. Main reason is for hog hunting.
1. What unit? 2. Helmet set up? I have no experience with helmets, mounts, counterweights etc. 3. Illumination, I would like to run an illuminator and a IR laser due to the use it would see. Am i thinking correctly? Which lights or lasers for this setup? 4. What order to buy? I know with the cans u buy it first then start building your rifle...Im thinking maybe set up helmet first and keep trying to sort through all this literature on night vision spec. As always all and any help/pics would be appreciated |
