[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Q: Fake can to replace comp?

I'm sure someone has done this before or at least thought about it.

What I'd like to do is replace the Comp on a M4 style barrel with a FAKE suppresor. Basically making a 16" look like a 10 1/2" with a can. Think of the can as a "sleeve" around the barrel.

Anybody know of a ready made part?

You could get one custom made, wouldn't be hard, how heavy are you wanting it? I have made those in the past but not for 5.56, same thing though and very easy to make.
