Attached File Running CCI Clean 22 target suppressor 45gr (1000fps) and CCI suppressor subsonic 45gr hollow point (970fps) It is cleaned like crazy after every few mags and anti seize on the caps and center. All ports are aligned and this thing even on a 10/22 and the TX22 with and without holding the slide and bolt closed makes a damned good pop. Every round is as loud as the first, The ammo is subsonic but not even near as quiet as a friends P22 with a sparrow. On the flip side if I get the can wet then it is literally "Hollywood quiet". The sound difference between the TX22 and 10/22 is identical. The P22 and the sparrow is much quieter than my setup. I have even put the sparrow on the TX22 and it's much quieter than the Nyx. (as in the brass hitting the ground is louder than the firing and cycling of the firearm) Not complaining (really) this is my first suppressor and I spent the extra per reviews and research that the Nyx is the quietest item for the 22's I have. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks! |
| My NYX MOD 2 is a little louder than my other rimfire cans especially on pistols. What separates it from a lot of others is the small OD and lightweight that lets it pretty much disappear on the end of your gun. |
