Question, I have a registered class 3 H&K MP5 in 9mm.  I was wondering if I bought a PTR-32 in 7.62 x 39 (By PTR-91) if I could use the registered trigger pack to make the PTR-32 full go.  Let me know your thoughts if anyone has experience with this.  If it will not work, what other guns can I buy to use the trigger pack.  Make/model.  Thanks!

If the packs registered it will work, If you want to take the lower off of the "registered mp5" and add it to the 32, it wont work, and if it did would be  a no-go.

do a search on the ptr-32 on f/a

Is the sear/pack "married" to the receiver?

This is the way I understand it:

If it is, and you have a barrel shorter than 16 inches, you would have to get a SBR tax stamp for the MP5.

Yeah, I know, but if you move the pack to another gun, you are "manufacturing" a Short Barrel Rifle (the MP5).

Does your head hurt yet?

More knowledgeable people should be along soon, and set you/us straight.

Thanks, just was looking into buying a PTR-32 and figured if it fit on my class 3 MP5 upper I would get one.

The MP5 is a registered class 3 gun.  I think it has an 8 or an 8.5 barrel.  The trigger pack is a H&K as well as the sear.  It can go on a .308 or a .223 H&K upper since it is a H&K lower.  Just wwanted to know if it can fit on the ptr-32 since it is a H&K clone of a H&K-91.  Thanks.

What you are describing makes no sense. Is it a swing on lower or a clip on lower? What is the actual registered part.

Sure the registered part is the sear in the trigger pack.  Meaning that the sear and trigger pack will fit the MP5 (9mm) as well as an H&K .223 and H&K .308.  They all have the same lower (trigger pack).  I know this becasue it is on my class 3 tax form.  Just wondering which guns I can move the trigger pack to as well as if I can use it on any of the cones.  I.E PTR-32.

Should be able to move it to most any semi-auto HK style gun, will also need a F/A carrier. May also have to swap hammer or ejector depending upon calibers.

PTR-32 comes with an S/A carrier.  You'll have to send it off to a smith to be welded up.

Be advised tho, as soon as you move that trigger pack (The registered part and the actual "Machinegun") the MP5 is no longer a machinegun and therefore needs to be stamped, since it would be an un-registered SBR.  Make sense?  Most folks with registered packs and mulitple host guns will SBR all the hosts with under 16" barrels, that way when the pack is removed the weapon is still legal with the short barrel.  With HK NFA guns it gets kinda tricky.  Since a registered trigger pack is technically considered a gun by NFA and ATF standards yer MP5 is actually two guns when the pack is on it....but once you remove the pack, the MP5 upper (Which is the serial numbered part and therefore considered a gun) is now an illegal SBR with its 8" barrel, even though it doesnt have a trigger pack attached to it.  Hope this makes sense
