i sent them a copy of my C&R and figured out how to get dealer pricing.

i noticed some things that have to be sent to an 01 FFL are discounted...ar lowers, 1911 frames, etc..

are we able to order them and have them sent to an 01 FFL and get the discounted price?

whats the verdict?

I've never tried to order anything from that requires a 01FFl using my 03 license. I'd suggest calling them.

I'd give it a try.  The worst that could happen is for them to say no.

I’m pretty sure the answer to this specific question is no.

The 01 FFL would have to do the ordering and would have to send them a copy of his 01 license.  However, he would get the discount price, which he could pass on to you if he wanted to.

Often you can get a 01 FFL to order stuff for you for a fee, which you’d probably have to pay anyway in the scenario you described.  IIRC, gunbroker.com has a list of 01 FFL’s by state that will handle such transactions, together with their fees.

The C&R FFL is strictly for C&R designated firearms, your license is useless in this situation.

I tried to snag a Cav Arms lower from them...$120 for a MK II was way too good to pass up...but they would not let me order it and ship to my transfer dearler...they ONLY take orders from the FFL themselves.  A lot of places won't do that, so you may be sol.

My guys offered to sell me the receiver for $140, so it was a wash, since they charge $20 for a transfer...it would have been $140 total even if Brownell's let me order direct.
