| I have a Chilian 95 small ring mauser. I would like to put a scout mount on it in place of the rear sight. I have not seen any mounts for this. I noticed however that there is a mount for a swedish small ring mauser. Will this fit my rifle? If it will not then can someone direct me to something that will fit. Thanks. |

There isn't one available for the 1895 Chilean Mauser rifle.
Later this summer I'll have a few that I'm making. http://dutchman.rebooty.com/ler.html The Swede mount won't fit. The 1895 Chilean rear sight base is the same as the 1891 Argentine, 1893 Spanish and several others. It presents a little different problem in mounting than some other Mausers due to the confines of the rear sight base. In keeping with the "no modification" design criteria for collectible rifles it makes things more challenging. In some cases it removes any means to make a viable LER scope base. Dutch |
