I'm in the market to buy the TROY MCS for my SOCOM 16. My question is does anyone have any problems with their rifle and the MCS? Does it rub by the collar mount that holds the stock together? Does in rub or cut into anything?

Thanks in advance.

A SA, Inc. M1A SOCOM works just fine in a Troy MCS.

Just installed my week old M1A Scout Squad into a Troy MCS last night. Easy enough to do, just follow the "destruction" manual  and you'll be fine.

The TROY M14 MCS is made for the SOCOM 16 - they are a perfect match

I did have an issue with the front band binding on mine when I attempted to field strip it...

Does it bind anywhere else?

That's the only place I noticed any problem. Tony @ LAW483.com told me
of a quick fix, but I sold all of my TROY stocks because I don't own a SOCOM.

Let me clarify a bit, as the OP was looking at my unit that was for sale in the EE.  I have since pulled it to look at one of the issues.

These first two pictures detail what I would consider to be normal wear to some extent.  The Troy has a front band that mounts in the barrel band area and this rubs on the inside of the lower piece.  The outside wear is from where the barrel band rolls over the front of the stock.  Since the stock pivots in this area during assembly/disassembly, there is obviously going to be some rubbing and some stripping of finish.

This picture is the right, rear inside of the stock and is a bit more disturbing.  In reality, it's not a big deal and possibly has more to do with how the receiver is cut.  I think what you see is a shaved off area from the firing pin tab during recoil.  I'll just dress up this area with a file, but I'm still a bit confused as to how/why this happened.

I experienced the issue depicted in the 1st two pictures and I'm told
the second issue is associated with non USGI & non ChiCom receivers.
