Alright you experts here's a question for you,

I was looking in the VLTOR modstock and was told by the company that they didn't advise installing any Magpul products due to a risk of flame/fire.  Anyone know about this or have in info?

I would call Vltor and politely ask them why they make that recommendation.

Hmmmmm, sounds interesting.  Sounds like stock manufacturers bashing each other for business.  Can't we all just get along in the AR-15 world?

Here is the actual statement from the email I received initially...

Please note that if you install a Magpul grip or stock, the two products may react and run the risk of inadvertently creating an explosive chemical reaction that could endanger yourself or others.

First time I ever heard Magpul Products causing a "explosive chemical reaction"  Might have to ask them about it as well.

What made VLTOR even make a comment about a Mapgul product?

Hilarious! I think that was a comical response because you had asked about using a competitors product in conjunction with theirs. That is like asking Mark LaRue if his mounts are made to co-witness with ARMS sights...well maybe not quite that colorful, but you get the picture.

Thermodynaamically speaking, there is no heat from the operation of the rifle that is transferred to the grip or the stock. The extension tube is Mil-Spec, so anything designed for that type of tube will work just fine.

Hahahah!  Their just messing with ya.  VLTOR's staff are good folks, easy to talk to on the phone, and apparently have a good sense of humor.
