If I send in multiple Form 1s to build a few SBRs(or machine guns If I can send them together, can I have 1 check for all of them, or are individual checks required? TIA TexSquirrel |

1 envelope and 1 check are ok. Just did two form 1's at the same time that way, and everything went very smoothly. I submitted: Two copies of each form 1, two fingerprint cards, 1 cert. of compliance, and 1 check for $400 bucks. all stuffed in one envelope. Took 2 days shy of seven weeks for the whole process. I just love this new stamp collecting hobby. |

For like forms, (multiple Form-1s or Form-4s, etc) you send each form in duplicate with one supporting data packet. For mixed sets of Form-1/Form-4 .... well... best is to send them separately. I sent in a mixed packet once. On the good side, they did not reject the second set as missing it's supporting paperwork. On the bad side, they held the second set until the first set cleared, then started processing the second set with the first set of supporting documents. Worse, because it had not been entered into the system yet, there was no way of knowing what had happened to the second set of forms until after the first set had been approved. |
How would you propose getting a Form 1 approved for a machine gun? |
Dream it approved. Hense the Although if the 922(o) ever gets dropped someday I'll be sending in machine gun Form 1s on the first day. Hey, I can dream can't I? |
