Just getting started and I want to put through a big order to save some $$$$
I know that UPS charges a haz fee of $27.50, but how is this assessed? Is it per box of primers or container of gunpowder or for the entire order? Can primers and gunpowder be shipped together? What should I buy online vs Cabela’s (local to me) for example? I searched through all the threads up top, but couldn’t locate any specifics on this. |

I've found Cabela's to have OK prices on primers and powder. The 5 gun shops within a half hour drive of my house all sell primers for $35-$45 per box. Cabela's routinely has (or they did the last time I was in there) CCI primers for $30. I only visit the locals when I want to try a pound of this or that, not for anything in bulk. |
