Will the HK collapsable stock fit the CETME without much modification? and if so , should i put one on? I just received a NICE CAI CETME today, bolt measured .011 which is withint spec , all parts are clean, lubed, everything cycles good, and the sights are straight.. Now im thinking about buying the HK tele-stock, narrow or wide black forarm, and a navy lower made for the CETME from JLD to make this thing look as close to a HK 91 as I can... Will the add ons such as the navy lower and stock help the guns performance in any way?   Im gona have to sell off one of my AR uppers to do the above, but the i have one too many AR's already and think the CETME could be a gem if treated right..

Im new to the whole HK/CETME rifle scene and could use some input..

Collapsible stock will fit but will most likely put a nice long scratch/groove on the receiver. You need to sand down the plastic ring on the recoil spring rod as well. It throws off your US parts count too...

The scatch/groove you talk about, is that due to the stock not being the proper fit or just normal wear from use? I dont think it would affect the US parts count at all...Looking at the parts count, the buttstock on the gun is already an imported part. Adding a true HK collapsible stock would still be an imported part.. am I wrong or right? I also intend if i do add the stock, to also add the railed forarm from JLD or a wide forearm to the gun as well. the railed wouldactualy add another US part and allow me to swap the muzzle device... Again, is my thinking wrong here?

long as it aint a black widow cetme,,your parts count is fine..

the Hkstock will fit,, minusthe scratch and recoil rod guide having tobe filed down.

stock/navy lower/wide forarm  make it preform better?  not really IMHO..it'll look nice..  but ive found,, plastic/wood..ect  they work all the same its just what you like on your rifle. i have OD green sets and wood sets, the wood stays on 99% of teh time.    the navy lower may save wt,, but you'll add it right back on with the slider stock and wide forearm.!

Thanks for the info. Cant decide what i want to do. I do not have the Black widow version. This is a super nice sporter model with original wood ( Was original untill today, i refinished it ) ...The only reason I was thinking about the Navy lower is due to the parts count issue. I want to install a flash hider but then I need to add another US made part. The navy lower JLD sells is 100% US made.I guess I could go with the collapsible stock, and find a US made forearm then I could do the flash hider.   I actualy refinished the whole gun today. She looks like new. the only thing left to refinish si the bolt carrier and im not sure I wana take it that far.  the carrier is shiney thru the ejection port. I wanted to blacken it somehow.

Or you can change the stock set (front and buttstock) with the el cheapo Century G3 set.  these are very crudely manufactured in US.  So it gives you 2 extra parts you can do away with (Muzzlebrake and something else)
