Im a cass 3 dealer and I have some spare lowers and a bunch of parts laying around and was thinking of making some SBR's. Whats a typical price to send a lower to an C2 and have them SBR them and then form 3 them to me. Or how would i go about doing that

Depends on what else has to be purchased for parts, plus labor.  Obviously no transfer taxes since it would be registered on Form 2 then returned to you on Form 3.

C2, not 02.

A Type 02 FFL is a dealer doing business as a pawnbroker.

A Class 2  manufacturer is a Type 07 (mfg) or Type 10 (DD mfg) FFL who has paid the Class 2 SOT.

if you do everything yourself so that all he has to do is file the form 2 then you may be able to get somone to do it for free or very little.

maybe trade favors or somthing.

Thats kind of what im looking for. What do i need to do? I have the lower and all the parts. Do i just build the lower and send it, does the upper go as well?

you can put the lower and upper together. if you want to stay legal toss a pistol buffer tube on it for now.  you will need to engrave the class 2 guys info on it.  then you can send it to him and all he has to do is fill out the form 2 and then you can legally put a stock on it.  he can the send it to you on a form 3.

Whoever puts the lower & upper together resulting in a SBR is the MFG.

Filling out forms claiming you MFG something you did not is not a good place to go.

i think you must have misread my post.

I am saying he can build a pistol and engrave the 07/c2s info on it and then send it to the 07/c2. the 07/c2 can then fill ou tthe form2 and send it in and then transfer it back to the owner on a form 3.

OK then.

I'm really not comfortable with other folks engraving our name onto a firearm without a variance.

I'd be the same. It's amazing how many people spell Arctic wrong. Everybody always puts down Artic.
