I want to get into reloading and saw this ad.  I have a couple of guns and some ammo I would be willing to trade for it.  My question for you guys.   What is the equipment this guy is selling worth so I can decide what to offer him?  Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you here is the ad.

IDK if I would go over 200-250, max. Cheaper is better.
The 38sp and 357 dies are redundant and not carbide.
What kind of guns are you willing to trade?

Honestly,  it's not a very complete start to reloading,  especially if it's not in calibers you load for.

Being from Michigan,  I lurk the MI gun owners forum,  and I did see a very nice reloading setup on there a few weeks ago.  I'd avoid armslist for a while though,  since people are still not accepting that the panic is over with.

What calibers do you have plans to load for?

Ok, thanks guys.  I do have guns in all the calibers he has and just figured I could buy whatever other dies I wanted to start reloading.  I appreciate the quick response.

I agree that $200 would be a top price. Old set, old dies that don't look to be carbide, old manuals and primers 20 years old or older, and a few old bullets. Not a good deal at all in my opinion. I think there are much better complete reloading sets available and if possible I recommend buying new.

Those manuals are vintage, means won't have the new powders in them.

That's about $200 worth of equipment to me.

Double check that press, it might be a JR No. 2, 3, or 5.  They're good presses, but not a Rockchucker and won't bring as much money.  Let's say $60, tops.

The Lyman 55 measure is good, probably worth $35 since the reservoir is dark, and hopefully not trshed.  The scale is an Ohaus, looks like a 5-0-5, and worth owning but I wouldn't pay a lot, maybe $30 and it had better work.

I wouldn't pay more than about $7 to $10 for a set of all steel pistol dies.  Allow $4 for the shell holders.

The manuals are worth $2 or $3 each.  The lube pad isn't worth anything.

Offer $150.  I wouldn't go higher, and only then if the dies, press, and shell holders are pristine and absolutely free of rust or just plain crud of lube, gunpowder, and carbon residue.
