Their stuff is very good, better than SA in my opinion. However if you want the best semi-auto M14 money can buy - that would be LRB Arms. ALL FORGED not cast receivers and bolts like Springfield. LRB is the Mercedes. But be warned, they are expensive. Worth it? Only if you want the strongest and the best. ETA i see you already checked out LRB. Fulton will do you right. |

I've been very pleased with my Rack/Service grade M14 from Fulton Armory. The wait is a killer on them though. I waited just shy of 6 months to receive my rifle. However, it is a very good shooter that you can tell that time was put into while building it. What sold me on Fulton when I bought mine was the customer service / communication I had with Fulton. I was able to talk through the build process and sub in and out options that I did or did not want. This allowed me to get the rifle I wanted without having to buy a stock rifle and modify. Additionally Fulton answered all of my emails whereas the other company I was looking for never responded to the 3 emails I sent or picked up the phone when I called. I'm very happy with my Fulton and it does everything that I ask it to do and has impressed all those who have gotten behind the trigger. My only real beef with it is the cosmetic finishing on the receiver, as it is somewhat rough in comparison to my SAI rifle. Not to throw you too far off course either, but you may want to consider one of the older SAI's that have all USGI parts as they still turn up at very reasonable prices (just bought one for $1100 out the door with a SAK barrel and TRW parts in it that is close to new in condition). That may be another viable option if you are looking for USGI parts as well |

Just for your consideration: "Due to cosmetic problems (burrs & imperfections) regarding Fulton receivers, I'll only build rifles on these receivers if the customer pays extra for clean up of metal or accepts as is." http://www.warbirdscustomguns.com/Rifle%20Shop%20services.htm |
However, that shouldn't be a concern as the original poster indicated he wanted to purchase a complete rifle as he did not wish to seek out parts for a build. Yes, the receivers have some cosmetic imperfections in comparison to the SAI I have, but the rifle shoots just as well if not better. Additionally warbird is the only one who has this posted. Ted Brown did not indicate he would charge more to build on a Fulton receiver and Dan at West Texas Armory was happy to hear I was sending him a fulton receiver for my bush rifle build. |
It should cost the same to have an armorer build you one and it will be finished much sooner. I've never heard of anyone that's been unsatisfied with a Fulton, but I don't know if they are worth the money and wait. Tom Luhmann in Clovis, CA does a lot of the M14 rifles that you see on the Highpower circuit here in Cali. (559) 299-7112. He worked mine over (rebarreled and detail work) in 9 days, including the UPS time from San Jose and back. Ty |
And Armscorp makes Fulton's receivers. |
