I have the chance to buy a limited edition NIB unfired M1014 for $1375 but the original skeleton stock has been replaced with the plain pistol grip stock.

Or

A brand spankin' new M4 from a local dealer for $1525 out the door add the $200 rebate the total would be $1325 and I would be to original owner and have a full warranty.

What would you do?

Both are two port guns

What would the benefit be in getting the "limited edition" one if the collapsable stock has been removed?

I would go for the M4.

The M1014 does not have choke tubes and for an all around shotgun choke tubes are important to me.

I am looking at buying a used M1014 at my local gun store, honestly I am quite happy with my Benelli M1 super 90s and I do not see what the M4 can do over the M1 or M2 (I know the ARGO gas /Inertia system is better)

The limited edition thing is nice, but I am not sure how much collector value is added to the M1014.

I am planning on buying the used M1014 because it is around $1,000 and has the collapsible stock.
