No, not to my knowledge. That's one of the drawbacks of the a pistol griped telescopic stock on a Mossberg; it makes the controls hard to reach. |

I did a search though Midway and didn't see one. Thats the reason why I don't like Mossberg shotguns with any sort of pistol grip stock. I can't get to the slide release easily. I wonder if you could drill a hole in the side of the slide release, tap the hole, and lock tight a small bolt into the slide release to make an "oversized" release. Might be a bad idea. Don't know. |

thanks for the repys guys.. well shit. i guess i should have done a little research before i put one on.. looks like there could be a market for some company to design a little longer lever or some other type of release. wonder who we could approach and see if they can make us one? i have 2 ideas in my head. a little longer lever with a 90 deg angle in it. or like you said a little longer lever with a small round bolt in it. |

Quoted: ok so ive been doing some looking and i cannot find anything aftermarket for that particular part. anyone found anything in their travels? I haven't seen any ether. Mossberg I believe calls it an "action release", not a slide release. Both are correct, but slide release is more of a popular term. |

I have used both the ATI collapsible stock and the Coate P/G fixed stock on all three of my 500, 590 and 590-A1 Mossberg pumps with no problems accessing the slide release button on the port side of the receiver aft of the trigger guard. You might want to try one of these stocks, there aren't a problem at all. The ATI has minimal padding on the back end (as do most collapsible stocks) and will really brusie your shoulder with hi-power 3" slug or buckshot rounds. The Coate fixed P/G stock has a nice 1" rubber recoil pad in the back that is a lot easier on the shoulder and leaves much smaller welts, ha!

ok but im going to mill me out some kind of extended safety on the right side so while i have it down i will make some kind of action release so the slide can be worked easier .. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=205874
