If you already have NFA items approved via Trust, when sending a form 4 for another item, is the schedule A required(I thought it was not)?
Must I send in copies of the original notarized trust, or can I print a new copy and have it notarized (notary at work, and saves a trip to the safety deposit box)? Thanks in advance ETA If I remember correctly I put the full Trust Name on 1. for the Certification of Compliance? |

You send in a COPY of the trust. The original notarized document should remain in a fireproof safe forever, never to see the light of day. Keep an electronic copy on your harddrive so you can print one off whenever it is required.

Just double checking this; using Quicken, and now adding a second item to the Trust. I thought the process was to add the items and print out the new Schedule A, and to print out the new Assignment of Property, sign it, and then put both the Schedule A and the Assignment in your file.
No need to print out the whole Trust document and have it re-notarized. Am I off base? |

But what if you have items waiting on approval? They should not be on your schedule A unless you have them approved, right?
In my situation, I'm buying multiple Class 3 items and have several into the ATF at a time. I can't keep updating the schedule A's as my approvals come in and send them to BATFE to update each application, can I? |

Submit another xerox of the trust. DEFINITELY include a schedule A. Can be the old sch A, or a new sch A showing the items if you are getting them through a form 4. I've done both, both work.
...but if you are doing a form 1 SBR, don't list the SBR on the trust until you have a stamp.... DUH! |

I just sent a second form 4 in.
I sent: - $200 money order - COPY of the original, notarized trust, with a schedule A (which only included my first can) - Certification of Citizenship - COPY of my first approved form IV (I figured, why not?) (I changed my address a couple months back) - copy of letter I sent them changing my address, with the date I originally sent it (just in case they didn't have it) The first one I sent pretty much the same things, only I also sent a notarized certification of trust, but I didn't have an extra copy of it this time. We'll see if they need it. |
