This is likely another "tell me what to buy" thread, but I will go with it anyway.

Granddaughter is 18+ months, super mobile, curious, and grabby. Already had a Surefire go missing from my nightstand. Oh, of course, why would we NOT think to look in the little under seat storage area of her talking chair?

Looking for a quick access pistol safe with room for at least 2, maybe 3, blasters. Say a G19 (possibly with a light) and Shield, with an SW40VE (G19 size basically) as the possible third.  Room for a spare mag for each, and a 6P size light would be desired as well. G19 and Shield are EDC/go to type of items and would be moved in/out daily. I would like room for the third so HH6 and step daughter have quick access to something if I am away with the others.

Not big on the biometric, just too many issues to me. Keypad/buttons with key backup is fine. Ability to turn off button feedback beeps would be a nice option; not required but like the idea and would at least try it out.

Currently leaning towards a Gunvault G2000S or similar. Hard to judge if there is the room I am looking for though.

What other features might I want to look for or avoid that I am not thinking of? What would some of you suggest?

Hornady has a decent safe.  Biometric would be the way to go for quick access.  Although, there's nothing like open carry in the house.  Just my $.02.

Tag for interest.....first grandchild is about 9 months old and will be riding a unicycle any day now! Kid is into everything......He visits once or twice a week.

Right now I have an O/U 12 gauge broken down and 3 or 4 handguns laying around in boxes - with a few more handguns here and there, oh and the occasional AR in a corner.....boy - do I have some work to do!

Would not recommend biometric for a quick access storage box. Most of the readers used on pistol boxes aren't very reliable, and not something I would want to bet my life on. Reliability with biometrics comes at a very high cost, usually around $1k for just the reader.

Get a box with a simplex lock.  Ft. Knox makes some, start there.
