Decided to go the PC route with my armor.
I cannot find a definitive answer. Will large ESAPIs with backers fit in a banshee? Someone with firsthand experince please give me the scoop. Thanks! |

I had a Large SAPI plate that I put into my Banshee, it will fit, however, the plate will stick out the bottom about 1/2". I didn't try it with backers at that time. I've sold the plates since then so can't do it now. ETA: another important thing to add is that because the SAPI plates are thick the velcro flap has less real estate to grab on to. I wasn't too convinced by this. I don't know if the flaps are now longer on the current production Banshees. |

what kind of deal are you getting on the banshee? might be smart to get a deal on a Mayflower APC or Beez plate carrier The Beez was another option, and they are local to me. I've just run into a clusterfuck with my armor set up. I got a great deal on a medium slick BALCS carrier with inserts, then got a decent deal on large ESAPIs thinking it'd all work. At this point I'm thinking of dumping all that shit on the EE and buying some triple curve stand alones from bulletproof me and a banshee. But was hoping to avoid that if the ESAPIs fit the banshee. Not sure what route to go. And I appreciate the answer takedown, seems like it'd be a half ass solution. |
