excellent. I think im gettin the hang of it....50 rounds down all are seated mid/top end of the canalure but you can still see it when you look at them. I'm pretty happy how they turned out, next goes factory crimp die, head space gauge and off to the range.

Seat to mid cannelure. If your brass is trimmed to 1.750, your OAL will be 2.20. Normal and correct. 2.260 is what we call mag length. As it's the longest you can load and feed from a mag. The longer bullets are where mag length comes in. I load 69 gr Sierra MK's to 2.250. Slightly short of mag length to ensure they will feed without measuring every round. |

You're looking good. The difference is because your factory 55gr m193 bullets are of a slightly different shape and design, or simply have the cannelure positioned different from Hornady's . The common COAL for the 55gr Hornady FMJBT with cann. is around 2.220 when seated to mid-cannelure. |
