How accurate is Quickload as far as muzzle velocity is concerned?
I'm trying to get a .308 load using IMR 4895 up to 2750fps but the program says I am exceeding pressures even though I got the load data from books and Hodgdens site. Anyone have any experience with Quickload? |

Anyone have any experience with Quickload? Got to look at the details....barrel length? 7.62 NATO or SAAMI .308 CUP, PIEZO, ? start pressure? OAL?, bullet details? bolt gun or gas gun? etc. With all these details ironed out, probably good to +/- 10%. Using QL 3.5, I got 2781, 47775 psi max. probably 2750 with a gas vent. Hodgdon uses 24" nonvented test barrels. |
