Who uses a washer with their thread on?

Also, any one have experience with Quicksilver?  I have one coming and would like some feedback.

Don't bother using a washer,  just thread it on.

I would make sure that the can mounts square against the shoulder though.

Actually, I meant a lock washer of some type.....I've heard of people who have used this setup to prevent the can from coming loose after alot of fire.
