| I've seen the RAS, but I've never seen a RIS. what exactly is the difference? Do these replace the handguards? |
| One is made for the heavy barrel profile. The other is made only for the light barrel profile. I think the RAS is the one that could fit only the light barrel profile. In addition, the locking system to the upper is different. The RIS uses an adjustable front tab to squeeze the two halfs togethter. The RAS uses two hooks in the back to catch the barrel nut. |
