I have been using the same RCBS Sidewinder tumbler since the mid 80s. I bought a new drum about fifteen years ago (the damage to the old one was my fault). I have been wet tumbling off and on since the machine was new.
Anyway, recently I noticed a drip coming from the drum and set it in the sink (with a strainer) and started to rinse and moved the drum and the bottom fell out. I sent RCBS an email from their site and in less than 36 hours had a reply. In the email I had ask what type glue would they would recommend for the repair. Their reply was "We are sending you a replacement under warranty - No Charge". It doesn't get much better than that. THANKS RCBS! Just thought I would let you know On another note, once the bottom fell out I used this magnet to retrieve the pins. Works like a champ especially when the pins are wet you pull the handle and the pins slide off easily. I paid under $20 for this at my welding supply. http://www.evolutionpowertools.co.uk/us/evolution_cyclone.html Tom |

RCBS was doing that when Mike Dillon was still in short pants. Dillon definitely set the standard and raised the bar for everyone, but RCBS is on par with his company in every way. The others seem to lag a bit, but their price points demand a bit less "free stuff." Redding is a notable exception, though the stuff they make is pretty much bulletproof. My ONE experience with them resulted in them replacing something *I* broke, and insisting on doing so at no charge. |

I want to add that Lyman fixed my Mag 20 furnace for no charge. I got a drill bit stuck in the spout trying to remove some crud that may have come from contaminated alloy that would not melt out. Obviously my fault and they returned it in like new condition. Runs like a champ now.
RCBS, Dillon, and Lyman deserve our business. I also need to get my RCBS tumbler repaired. It is from the late 1980's and used mostly for wet tumbling. |

You might try the contact us form on their web site. They were really quick responding. The only other thing I have needed was a replacement timer which they replaced no charge.
I bought a used RC press at a club swap meet. It needed some new linkage so I called RCBS to order parts. I told the lady it was used and how I got it. The lady said its under warranty what year is it. Long story short the date is stamped under the adapter bushing on top the press IIRC it was 68. Its just nice to deal with stand up no BS companies. Hard to find these days. T |

This topic just reminded me that I needed to order a new primer catcher for my OLD discontinued RS press that was handed down from my dad 17 years ago.
Anyhow I just got off the phone with them and stated that I no longer had the part and was willing to pay for it, the nice lady told me that no payment was required since it was covered under a lifetime warranty I offered again to pay for it since it wasnt their fault I lost it but she still refused. My hats off to RCBS |

Well, they replaced something I broke that I called to pay to replace but that is the last time I put up with that crap.
When I screw up I pay and so I simply won't tell them it broke just that I want to order a spare part. They are not easy on this as they try and see if they can force a free part on me so I have to be careful not to get caught in their plot to feel good about themselves. They may think my money is no good but I find a way to make them take some. I am quite resourceful about this but they are tough so one has to be This may sound funny but it is actually true!!! Now, with Dillon and their unbelievable shipping and handling fee, well, no mercy for them. My honor has limits and Dillon has found them Wulfmann |

Yeah, I got took with their jedi mind trick too. I bought a NOS set of RCBS carbide 9mm dies with the older fine thread seating stem and I called to order the other two shaped seating stems for hollow points and swc bullets. The lady on the phone took my name and address and then proceeded to tell me that they no longer had the old style fine thread seating stems for my dies.
She said if I wanted they could get me the 9mm seating stems for the new dies if I wanted to buy a seating die from Midway or somewhere. I said yes I'd like to get them, how much? She said they will go out tomorrow. I said how do you want me to pay for the shipping. She said no charge, they will ship tomorrow. Quoted:
