I picked up the regular RCBS case prep center a few weeks ago and like it a lot so far. Like you said, I can remove mil crimps, remove burrs and chamfer in no time at all. I use the WFT for trimming 223 brass. I use this exact same setup. Works great for me. |

Very impressive setup....if I didn't already have my Forster Trimmer (with 3-way cutter) automated, I'd buy one. To perfect your setup, you need to put one more tool on the bench exactly where your Miller High Life is sitting: http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad195/gstrad/RCBS%20Bench%20Swager/IMG_1165.jpg RCBS Bench Swager. RCBS is on a roll....making some neat tools lately. I've seen those too... It pays to not buy crimped military brass in the first place... I acquired 2k 1994 head stamp Lake City Match once-fired that should last me the life of my barrel. |

I'm excited for Thursday!
On a whim I checked a few sites last week for the RCBS 3 way cutter (which was out for months and was the only thing holding back a package purchase) I bought the whole shebang, RCBS Trim Pro 2 kit, 3 way cutter, plate and cover. I know I'm gonna kick myself for not getting the powered one but, I really have no plans to do .223 en masse. How are the tolerances on it? Everything I've read says with a thousandth and that the only thing that may be "better" is the LE Wilson one. Edit: Is that a Starrett Caliper? |

I'm seeing +/- 0-0.001" repeatability when I do my part. Interestingly, to get the best results I back off on the cutter and rotate the shell 180 degrees, then allow the cutter to turn for another half second. Without this step I was seeing +/- 0.001-0.002". Perhaps I will measure a batch and see what the SD is. Not a Starret... just Lymans. Much better than my old Frankford Arsenal. |
