If this is in the wrong place please let me know and I will delete it
I recently purchased a Chargemaster, a few other non RCBS items and a Hornady .300blk die set from Brownells. I used a Brownells discount code (can't recall it at the moment) for I believe 10% off. I then printed out the rebate form for both the RCBS $75 off of $300 and the free bullets from Hornady. Problem is, they both require the original receipt and since the items were ordered together they are on the same receipt and I am stumped on how to claim both rebates. I contacted RCBS to find out what to do in this situation. After a fairly detailed email on my part the response given was "You can only claim one rebate a year." Now I am aware that RCBS only allows one a year but that shouldn't have anything to do with my Hornady rebate. After reading the fine print on the rebate form, it also mentions "This coupon may not be combined with any other offers or coupons affecting the same product." Does this apply to the code I used from Brownells? I am still awaiting a clarification from RCBS but thought I would see if anyone else had dealt with a similar issue. |
| Photocopy recipe since most are no more than computer print outs anyway. Send the Original to Hornady, and the copy to RCBS since it sounds like they will probably stiff you anyway. In the future they told you where they want your money to go, to their competitors. |

I read the fine print and couldnt find where the applicable exemptions were. |

I got my chargemaster on sale for a little less than $300 and they wouldn't honor their rebate. They even had a lesser rebate for spending I think it was $150 and they wouldn't honor that either since I had already applied. good luck... Quoted:

To clarify, they didn't honor the $150 off rebate because you had applied for a previous rebate or because you bought the Chargemaster for a discounted price? Quoted:

I guess I should have read the fine print prior and placed my orders accordingly. Its only $75 and free box of bullets, not a huge deal but I didn't expect it to be this difficult. |

Try calling RCBS instead of emailing. Things can get lost in translation over the internet. Explaining your situation to an actual person may be of greater benefit to you (and them). That's the plan. I wasn't in a hurry so I figured an email would suffice. Now I am thinking a call is in order. I'll post back with the results. |

The last rebates I used (not RCBS) I was able to do right from my fone. I applied on the phone and snapped a photo of my sales recipe when prompted and all went through. It was actually kind of amazing.
Why not do like the post above suggested. Send the photo copy to Hornady and the original to RCBS. In my honest opinion though asking someone for their "original recipe" is b.s. I like to keep my originals for at least a year. Also. Brownells special discount to you should not have anything to do with a manufacturer's rebate. Motor |

Motor Every time I buy something at Recob's that has one of these rebates, they print me out multiple copies of the receipt without even asking |

I just got my RCBS $75 rebate check today. Only one problem. It was for only fifty bucks.................. WTF?
Plus, the Chargemaster I bought isn't much better than my Hornady Lock-N-Load mechanical device. Believe me, next time I shop for reloading equipment, it won't have an RCBS logo on it. |

Start a new thread about your Chargemaster problem. You negative comment is one of very few I have ever seen. There are a couple small tuning tricks for them that make them much better. Seriously. I have read every Chargemaster related thread that I have seen in the last 5 years and over 99% of the comments are positive. Motor |

In terms of receipt, I print the purchase email confirmation for receipt. Just print it twice. Not seeing a problem. |

(and as long as I could remember). 2016 is first $75 rebate. No foul on rcbs. |
