Well.. I've read the stickey and seen the debates. Is the RDIAS the way to go or no?

I made a YES vote with my wallet. RRs get the nod for better reliability with the .22 kits though.

I went the rdias route and could not be happier. I like the fact I can build a new m16 for less than $1000. I dont have to worry about my gun loosing a lot of value because it got scrached, dented or used. I found a colt lower that was marked SAFE SEMI(not FIRE) and just added the AUTO and it looks factory. Mine has been plug and play but I have heard that some need timming to run.

I love mine. I run it in .22, 9mm and 5.56 with a MGI modular lower. I also have a AK-47 mag well, but I haven't gotten around to building an upper yet. I run it in carbine matches and I'm not worried about scratching a RR. My RDIAS has over 10K rounds through it in the last 1.5 years and I havent had any problems, other than melting a few gas tubes

If you're going to buy a shooter that you don't have to worry about get an RDIAS. They are 100% full of win! There isn't anything wrong with RRs other than the fact that their cost makes them hard not to baby.
