I have a new Ruger Precision Rifle in .308. I want to install a match grade barrel chambered in either 6.5 Creedmoor or 7mm-08.
I understand Ruger uses a barrel attachment system similar to Savage on this rifle. I have the wrench for the barrel nut and will buy the correct headspace go gauge. My question is, what is the best method to hold the receiver when removing and installing the barrel nut?

You might have good luck asking in the Roger Precision Rifle thread in the precision rifles section or over on snipers hide. I hear its not too hard of a swap, but they will know how to vise it for the swap.
