I was given a few thousand CCI #41 primers from a friend. I have never used them before, but could not say no. Does anyone have a good load using the following:

Ramshot TAC powder

CCI #41 primers

Winchester brass

62gr pulled M855 bullets

Thanks in advance. I did look at the list of rifle loads, but did not see one that listed the CCI #41's.

Try 24.5 grn. That's what I use with SS109/M855 bullets. With CCI #41 or #400. Velocity will be around 3090 FPS (24" 1-9 Bull). Slightly higher with #41 (~50FPS) I cant get it to group any better than 1.25" /5 shot. Good luck. If you are not familiar with TAC powder, I recommend starting at 24.0 grn.

Check Ramshot's web site for load data.

Their website still says they are working on getting the data on the website. Their digital reloading manual does not cover 62gr.

Try calling Ramshot.

If I was in an emergency situation and only had the old brochure load data to reference, I would use a start load of 22.8 to 23.2 grains of TAC with a 62 grain bullet in .223 Remington.  The maximum charge weight will be less than 25.8 grains or thereabouts.

The 62 grain SS109 data for TAC was given to me when I called Ramshot and managed to get their lab.
They didn't give me velocities or anthing like that, just min and max. The guy said they were still testing and of course to use standard reloading precautions. No test barrel data other than 1/7.
start  23.0
max  26.0

Primers are often ignored in load data you find on the net and load data should be viewed cautiously anyway. I'm shooting 2 1/7 barrels, one NATO chamber and one Wylde chamber.
Wolf sr magnum primers and Remington 7 1/2. I started at 23.0 and worked my way up with different lengths and crimps. I've used WinNT, LC, WCC brass all loaded the same, just different components.

Thanks everyone for their input. I am going to start at 23gr and work up to 25.4gr (barring any pressure signs before then).

In my rifle 25.5grs is what I settled on after working up from 23.0 grs.

LC brass, pulled SS-109, 25.5 grs Tac, either Win SR or Wolf SRM.

Bullet seated to mid cannelure, light crimp.
