| What's a solid range bag that can be used to hold a few pistols, ammunition, and other accessories? What's something that is good for the money and won't hurt the wallet? |

LA Police Gear bail out bag. Love mine and just big enough to fill up with a day's worth of range goodies

This
I have a couple and think they are an unbelievably good deal. |

Midway has excellent range bags that go on sale fairly often. LAPG has good range bags that go on sale fairly often. i suggest getting a number of small range bags instead of one huge bag. One should be for always-needed stuff, like eye and ear pro, gloves, generic cleaning stuff, and so forth. The others should be loaded-up prior to leaving home with just what you will need for that shooting session. Make up some simple check-lists, and it will save you from forgetting stuff, and also from lugging way too much stuff to the range. After all, if you have a HUGE bag, and everything is inside it, that makes for difficulty in finding small stuff. |

X2, got one. It is awesome. |

Aircrew Helmet Bag
I use one of these that was issued to me when I joined the AF. It's been a great little range bag. |

Aircrew Helmet Bag I use one of these that was issued to me when I joined the AF. It's been a great little range bag. Be careful about loading one of those down with heavy items. The seams are along the edges. I usually carry about 150 rnds of 9mm, 60 rnds of 6.8spc, 50 rnds .380, 50 rnds of .38 special, a bag of .22lr and .22 mag + a Glock 19 and Colt Huntsman in one case, and a Charter Arms revolver + NAA 22 mag revolver in another case. In one of the front pockets it holds ESS eye wear, two surefire ear plugs. In the other front pocket it holds a Gerber Multi-tool and a Bore Snake. This is my usual load out and I hit the range about once every other month with no issues with the bag. I agree it's not a heavy duty range bag but as a recreational shooter it works well for me (even better that it was issued to me for free). Thanks for the heads up |
| FWIW, I tried a few traditional range bags and gave up on them. I've been much happier with a small back pack (Tac Tailor or Maxpedition) because I can everything I need it in and it leaves my hands free to carry other things like multiple rifles, brass catcher, etc. |
