I picked a couple of M646 raptor scopes that are in kinda rough shape. Does anyone know of a source for small parts like eyeguards, elevation turret, battery cover, and brightness know?

Also, how hard are these to replace tubes?  I know the D740-760 have special alignment problems but I have never opened a raptor up.
Thanks,

Dave

I was able to get some work done on mine at Aurora Tactical. They were the only place I could find parts for the M646. The guy that was extremely helpful was Rich Urich .

The AN/PVS-12A Aquila is the "Daddy" or the Raptor. Many of the parts interchange. Just a FYI for future reference.

I would farm that out to someone with experience. The 740/760 are difficult to say the least. The Raptor is not as bad but I still would send it to a pro. High dollar optics on the surface look easy but to get everything adjusted properly takes some knowledge. Night vision service is surprisingly cheap compared to the cost of these items. Send it to the folks who work on this stuff daily. I can build a 14 with my eyes closed but I send my AR out to folks who know about AR's.

Nothing wrong with learning but I started with junk that was already broken. I couldn't harm it any worse than it already was if I really tried hard. You first delve into night vision tinkering should not be a D-series scope or a raptor. Especially a D series scope as they are quite difficult to set up correctly (even for me).
