I noticed a little of the finish being rubbed beneath the charging handle on the back of the receiver.  I've only fired 150 rounds out of the MPX . What is causing his rubbing and should I be concerned?

Charging handle slop. Tons of post regarding inclucing a couple of ways to fix.  I personally am waiting for someone to come out with an aftermarket charging handle.

Paperclip... Did a post about it last May. Replace every 6k rounds.

Do you have a Gen 1 or Gen 2 MPX?   My Gen 2 has a little wear, not not near as bad as some that I have seen with Gen 1s.

I personally would rather have a blemish than have a paperclip hanging out of my rifle.   I am sure Sig will fix it somehow in the future.  Either that or an aftermarket charging handle will come out to solve that issue plus the suppressed gas to the face issue when running a suppressor.

I've got a gen 2.  It is a little gassy while suppressed but I can live with that. Like you said, hopefully Sig will address the charging handle issue soon. Until then I don't want to damage my weapon while Sig figures it out.

See discussion about a very good solution here:

just ordered the spring for the charging handle but it sounds like using the bold release instead of slingshoting the charging handle is the preferred method of keeping the receiver from getting dinged up.
