I have been looking for a Medford style folder the praetorian I believe, but unfortunately can not afford the real thing.  I have a budget of about 300 dollars.  I'm looking for super thick heavy duty folders, some I have seen are the extreme ratio rao , Grayman sautu, and some of the sniper works submissions as well.  I really haven't found anything in my price range and was hoping for some good options .
thanks

Came to post ZT...if they're not thick and obnoxious (in a good way), I don't know what is.

I have one of those; issued in Afghanistan IIRC...and it's not that big/thick/heavy...only slightly more so than the standard issued Benchmades.

Grayman folders are very thick and over built, the Dua is the smaller pocket friendly version, but the Satu, now there's a beast and my only folder. Awesome, used ones canbe had $325-350 and worth every penny! The others listed arent even in the same league save for the Medford...

I recently brought my satu to a wedding. They needed a knife for some decoration crap. You should have seen the faces of the sheeple when I pulled that satu out lol
Here's a pic of the satu making my full size les baer look small and a pic of my leather belt sheath I sometimes carry it in

Get a ZT 0300 and have Northern Knives cut a pocket hook in it.  Faster than an auto and very nice sized grip that is very comfortable to use.

Second this. I had them do a pocket hook on my ZT 0200, and it is crazy how fast it opens. For me, it's even a quicker draw than my fixed blades.

How much are those?

[#24]
Between 375 and 425 depending what finish you want. It's an awesome knife. Smooth as butter and locks up like a vault. It is big but carries well in the pocket.  I think I saw a used one in the EE the other day and it even had a sheath like the one in my pick included. I think it was a stonewashed blade.

Microtech DOC. If you get one, look for a diamond coated blade, which is a hard black coating over a satin finish (DLC). Even the pocket clip is thick and obnoxious lol.

Spyderco Tuff is my go to thick and heavy-use folder.  CPM 3V steel is designed to take a beating.  Not too many folders on the market using it right now.

+1 on the Spyderco TUFF, great knife!

Others that come to mind: btw you can find Medford 187's on the secondary market for about 330-350 sometimes
