Could you please recommend a .22 lr pistol and also a .22 lr rifle for me to suppress? I would like one can I could swap back and forth, but I would like something that will not jam if I keep it fairly clean. I like the Sig Mosquito and the Walther, but have never shot either. I also am interested in the S&W M&P22. The suppressor I was looking at the SWR Warlock, any recommendations as far as that one or any other??
Thanks again for the help!! |

If you like ARs ,wait a bit for the threaded barrel M&P15-22.
For the pistol, get a Ruger and have it threaded. Your grandchildren can fight over it when you're done. The Mosquito and P-22 will be broken long before your kids are grown. I have a Spectre, it's great. For cheap, a TAC-65 or Mite. |

The Mosquito gets mixed reviews regarding subsonic ammo. They run fine on MiniMags, which usually are supersonic for me (other members here have had different results), but several people have run into issues finding a reliable subsonic load for them. I recommend finding a Ruger Mark II for your pistol host.
I haven't used any of the dedicated .22lr ARs, so I'll leave that to someone with more knowledge of them. |

I have 1 with over 20,000 rds down it with no problems (Yes I keep count, I'm a range safety officer so I log every shot fired) I haven't had any problems with it (changed out a few springs but that is expected) |

I'm running a P22 & a Ruger 10/22 with my SilencerCo Sparrow can. The P22 keeps even cheapo Remington subsonic; the 10/22 stays subsonic with CCI Standard Velocity with just a regular barrel cut & threaded. I've only tried this down to about 50* F, so it may vary a little on the rifle with the temps but I've very happen with my setups |
| I went with the Walther p22. Got to say one of the worst triggers I have seen. It will not fire without the magazine in the gun *stupid*. There is no decocker. All the slides on the on the under neath side I have seen are always beat up (bad), Walther says that's "normal"?? Magazines are $25-30 each! On the positive side with the short barrel all ammo I have shot stays subsonic even the CCI mini mags. With the YHM Mite can I have on it,it runs perfectly with the back pressure even when dirty. It is very small, light, and fun to shoot. All of them come with a threaded barrel. I like my Ruger Mark II better, but the walther is light small and fun. Think I will get a trigger job on it though it probably won't last like the Ruger will. :-) |
