My daughter has recently become fascinated by knife throwing.  I'd like to get her a few decent throwers, but I don't know what is a good design or who is a good maker.

Looking on Amazon I can't separate the wheat from the chaff just by looking, or by the reviews.  I figured Arfcom must have some knowledge.

Cold Steel?  Model?

Thanks.

There are hundreds of throwing knives to chose from, so I understand the difficulty in finding some good ones.

I have been throwing knives for 20 years and I quickly learned to buy some inexpensive decent quality knives until you get proficient.  Then upgrade to something better.

The best inexpensive set that I have found were these SOG throwing knives.   They have cord wrapped handles for a good grip even when your hands are sweaty.  Also, they are shaped correctly for easy throwing and will still easier as it is a double sided design.

My set of these ran only $20 and have held up well.    I would find a soft wood target or thick cardboard.  As hard targets tend to bounce the blades back at you if they don't hit correctly.
