I need to grind off the ears on my bayonet lug. What is going to be the best way to refinish this to a factory new look after I have done so. Any pics, tip, tutorials, etc are appreciated.

Any of the common gun paints should work - Duracoat, Alumahyde, Gun Kote, Norrells, etc.

Depending on if you have access to an airbrush and/or oven will determine which ones you can use.

FWIW, if you do use a bake-on finish, it probably won't stink up the house too bad since it's such a small part.  I'd use aerosol Gun Kote since I already have some and it's fast.  Including baking time, you'll be done in less than two hours.
