I bought an STG-58A that UPS damaged during shipping. Fortunately, the damage is just to the finish. Looking for advice from those who have had a MBR refinished. Want to have my FAL refinished with a material that stands up well to rust and handling/use. What material/finish do you recommend and who do you recommend do the work? I am looking at having either Rich@ CGW put a CEN-TAC 9H finish on my FAL or possibly METACOL III from Arizona Response Systems. A couple of the board's members have had good things to say about Rich & CGW. Did you use the CEN-TAC product? How is it standing up over time against rust & use? Anybody used either of these firms? How did your weapon look afterward and how has it held up over time? Thanks in advance! |

I had Adam Berg (adam762 on the FAL files) put a barrel on mine and refinish the whole rifle. I think it looks great, and his customer service was awesome. I don't know what kind of finish he uses. You can see some of his work under the "Gun Parts Guy" forum on the FAL files. Thanks, Brad |
