I found a guy who has a lb. of this for cheap and was wondering if it was pretty decent for .223 or not.  I did look at alliants page and the recipes they show are for 62gr+ bullets.  I'd be loading just plain ol' 55gr FMJBT.

Worth picking up a lb. for 10 bucks?

Yes, its decent for bullet weights in the range you list. AeroE likes it with 52gr especially.

It's excellent for bullets from 55 grains up in weight.  52 grain MK's, too.

One of the best powders for precession loads for 223.

52 gr bullets and up.

AeroE's 52 gr Sierra  and Re-15 load shoots pretty good. 100 yd target. Right target was a 30 round mag dump. Lower hole from an AK.

Will save you from asking, Win case, Sierra 52 gr Matchking, 27.0 grs Re-15, Rem 7 1/2, OAL 2.250. NO crimp. Home built AR, 3x9 scope.
