A friend gave me a substantial amount of once fired Armscor 300 Blackout brass and I wanted to see what you knowledgeable folks thought about reloading it.

I know Armscor ammo gets some really bad reviews but I'm not sure if that is strictly loaded ammo or components as well.

For what it's worth, the headstamp is marked AP and then the caliber.

Any constructive input is greatly appreciated!

I have found that Armscore 55 gr FMJ bullets are poor quality, (patterns instead of groups).

If I had some Armscore 300 blk cases, I would load 50 and see how they do.

Loading and shooting. Then I would know the quality of the cases.

If they turn out to be good (as I suspect), then prep, load them all.

I am an optimist, so there's that.

Not an apples to apples comparison but...

Bought some new armscor brass for 22 tcm.

That stuff is HARD.  You can load it but we have been cracking necks in about 20 percent of the brass.

Spent a bunch of time annealing it and it is working better.

Recommend you inspect cases before reloading to look for cracks.

Thanks for the input gentlemen!

Hopefully I wasn't gifted 5000 pieces of near worthless scrap metal LOL.

If anybody is curious, the brass works fine but isn't going to be durable.

Looks like it'll be limited to two reloads due to loose primer pockets.

Oh well, it was free and I got a ton of it from the local 3 gun group.

My experience as well. In the vast majority of cases (no pun intended) they split after just one reload.
