First time reloader here.
Any suggestions on a powerful combination? Bullet, size, powder amount and brand, primers, ect? Want a load with a kick, or else id shoot the .40. Thanks for any help. Looking to experiment on my own later just want to get the first load right and work from there |

Buy a reloading manual. This and don't just go load what people say works well. Always start at a reduced power (-10%) and work your way up. Look for pressure signs and you should be GTG. However, I would recommend looking around the interwebs to see what the most common reloading compnents are for 10mm. |

But yea I was mainly hoping to get input on brands of powder and primers from this post. |

First pick what brand of bullet you would like to shoot.......then buy that brands reloading manual .
I personally like Hornady 155gn and 180gn xtp's and have both the 7th and 8th addition manual. The 8th is a little more conservative with their data btw if your serious about reloading, buy as many books and you can afford. |

This is a stout load that will make you feel cool. Also Bluedot makes a big fireball so you will look cool. Start off at 10.8 gr of Bluedot and work up in 0.4 gr amounts. Good luck and have fun. P.S. beware ejected brass will knock a man out! |

Powerpistol is easy to meter and give top performance, 800x must be hand weighed but gets you to absolute fastest load levels. I use CCI LP MAG primers or CCI LP for my loads. |
| I alternate between PowerPistol and HS-6 for my 180gr loads. Plinking is a medium HS-6 load pushing a 180gr Ranier Plated. Heavier (similar recoil and velocity as my chosen carry round) is PowerPistol and 180gr XTP. 800X is not for the faint of heart or the beginner reloader. I use it in my 200gr nuclear loads. |

My 6" barreled custom Glock 20L does very well with Speer 165grn GD, Power Pistol, Win cases, and CCI LPM primers for loads from warm (1,100fps) to 'nuclear' (1,579fps). Hunting and/or field backup pistol loads usually are 200grn Hardcast stout loads using the same powder, primers, and cases. Each load must be worked up separately because your pistol with it's unique barrel will react slightly differently to a given load and my warm load may prove to be inaccurate in your pistol. |
