I am thinking about starting to reload my own ammunition, but I could use some help on where to begin. I know I have a lot of research to do, but I could use a push in the right direction. Links to information and equipment would be greatly appreciated. I was on Midway's site looking around, but I am not sure about which equipment would be considered good quality or necessary. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Find a used Dillon 550 and don't look back. I am still running a old 450 and one day will upgrade. But I have loaded 50K+ rounds with that press and it keeps on spitting them out.  The Blue Koolaid is just like the Colt, once you drink it nothing else measures up. I am kidding, lol!!

Same as the guy above me...buy Dillon once and you won't have to buy again. Once upon a time reloading was about a third the price of new ammo, today that gap has closed. With primers at .034 cents each and each powder charge .07 plus an .08 cent bullet for .223 you are looking at apx $190.00 per thousand. These days it almost a better idea to get your rifle set up in 545x39 for training and plinking. I have both. For pistol you still can't beat reloading though. Good luck.

I just set my 550 up for loading .223 get the Hornady Custom new dimension dies (or at least the bullet seating die) it has a sliding sleave that guides the bullet in line with the very small case mouth, it makes life much easier.

If your like many, your not sure if you'll keep reloading or you may be on a budget and not willing to fork out the cash for a Dillon.  Look into Lee products.  Many will blast them but I've used their stuff for years and it works great.  You used to beable to get into a Lee Aniversary Kit for approx $100.  Ebay carries lots of used stuff of all brands at fair prices too.

+1 on Dillon products. They have everything you will ever need, lifetime warranty, and top of the line stuff.
