The greatest firearms / ammo / reloading supply salesman in American history is leaving.   His legacy and the imminent threat looks to be gone, wouldn't it stand to reason that hoarding should diminish, prices should stabilize and decline?

Your thoughts?

I just passed up buying some hard to find powder online, in lieu of possibly finding it local.

Two weeks ago I would have jumped on a couple pounds and happily paid the $30 hazmat fee.

Things are going to change bigly in the next four years.

Already have falling prices in my AO.  Saw pistol powder at my LGS yesterday, some as low as 18.00/lb

Only difference between now and the past 8 years is this allows me more time to stockpile and not feel so guilty about shooting. I built a 300blk back in March but the only thing I did with it was sight it in for the 200rounds i have for it. Now, I'm about to reload and make it my cheap plinking gun.

Now is the time to look ahead to the next election, unfortunately.

True, complacency is always a danger.  However, I've already seen gun component's prices fall in some cases, and that's a good thing.

It's just horrible to consider that more evil black guns will be out in the wild...wreaking mayhem and havoc on a scale never seen before.  Oh the humanity!

Let's see, now, where did I put my crystal ball?

I hope you're right about falling prices but I do not expect any tectonic shifts.  I say that because there are a lot of new shooters in the market place (based on all the new gun sales over the last few years).

If I do see big reductions, whether immediate drops or a gradual downward creep, I will buy.  I bought in bulk many years ago and was able to ride out the deep, wide drought and subsequent price hikes.
