I will soon be the owner of a vz.50, and I already own a vz.27.
Hoping to someday acquire one of the semi-auto vz.61s as well. Anyway, I'd like to get into reloading this cartridge. I am assuming fast-burning pistol powders like Titegroup, W231, or Bullseye are best. Anyone have a recommended vender of inexpensive .32 ACP cast lead (or jacketed) bullets? Once-fired brass? Lastly, does anyone have any "been there done that" information on reloading the .32? |

Lastly, does anyone have any "been there done that" information on reloading the .32? I carry a Seecamp 32 and I've reloaded for a decade and a half, but don't shoot it enough to warrant getting supplies for it. Plus, even though I have small hands, I don't know if I'd want to dick with something that small. Lots of crunched fingertips. Depending on your press, it might not even be possible. I know that Dillon has issues with their shellholders and really tiny cartridges, like the 5.7x28, so just double check. I would look at the usual places for components and I'm guessing you'll find mostly jacket bullets, but since it's a rare cartridge to a degree, you're probably not going to find a lot of 1x brass out there to purchase. You have a bunch of weapons for this cartridge, so I can see you 'needing' to reload, but it's not the greatest cartridge to be reloading for. Chris |

I'm not worried about the size of the cartridge.
I have found a vendor of inexpensive cast bullets, hopefully they work well, and I have Titegroup on hand so I suppose I'll start with that. Hope it gets along with lead bullets well. I have found several sources for brass but it's not that great a deal. As an above poster said, it's not that common relative to the others so I'll probably just have to buy factory ammo at first. |
