| Anyone see any softening up of this God-awful drought? I received a bunch of bullets from Midway that I had on backorder for a couple of months, and I see some of the more popular powders available from time to time. I was able to get 1000 Winchester lg rifle magnum primers from Powder Valley a bunch of weeks ago, but that is about it for primers from what I found. I still have backorders placed at Powder Valley and Cabelas. The one thing I have noticed is that the bids are drying up on Gunbroker for primers. The auction prices seem to be a bit lower than the last time I checked a couple of months ago, and there is no more euphoria buying for primers and Varget. |

Don't see it. There have been trickles through the whole period: Powders, primers, new bullets coming out before they got jumped on. One distributor has told dealers that components (I think Win) won't be released until AFTER they have filled all .mil orders, leo, backorders, and scheduled orders, then put away a stock for future needs, in assembled ammuntion.
The auction results might be akin to the "discouraged unemployed" idea. After a while ppl just give up. |
